Dear Tom,

How is everything going?

I’m more than pleased to learn that you’re interested in Chinese couplets. As you know, the couplet is one of the Chinese traditional cultures with a long history. Like fireworks, it’s also one form of celebrating the new year. Actually, it’s a common practice for most Chinese people to put couplets on their door frames or walls in the Spring Festival. People want to say goodbye to the old year and express good wishes for their families in the new year by posting the couplets.

Welcome to China in the Spring Festival, and then you can have a better experience of couplet culture.

Best wishes!

Yours,

Li Hua
